I'm trying to decorate my sims home and after recently discovering the "move objects on" cheat, it's been fantastic! wherever, as as soon as I hover anywhere near them with an item, it snaps to the placement grid no matter what I do. I've tried the raising/lowering of the object to avoid it as well but no go.

I know you use the Alt key to place objects off the grid when the object is on the In sims 3 you can get off the grid just by holding down the "alt" key. They automatically snap to the wall which makes the two curtains bleed together. The cheats along do not help on curtains - yes it is mighty annoying.
